Very nearly broke both feet (one incident per foot, not at the same time) moving my stuff from the flat into the new(ish) house today. Managed to just seriously bruise my knees and ruin my trousers, with a slightly twisted ankle both sides.

Should be alright by tomorrow...

Today I have mostly been learning to do important processes at work. For example, I now know how I get more stationary*.

In other news my shiny new work computer is a laptop.
I feel so... so mobile. Also, wireless (though I'm not allowed to do any actual work on the application wirelessly in case I'm intercepted).

*Contact my admin representative and they will place an order, apparently. I guess for some kind of sedative or something.

This weekend was spent at rougeforever and mrhig's place, with many people (well, some people) and some board games (well, many board games).
We've been konging whoppers¹, grabbing totems², and playing with wood³.
I've also been spoiled for life playing Starfarers of Catan, given various rude things some people (you know who you are. And just so everyone else does, it was rillaith and mrhig.) have compared the playing pieces to.
I spent some time pretending to be an 8 year old girl with a teddy bear for 'Betrayal at House on the Hill', which I shall have to play again. Although that might just be the fact that the 8 year old girl with a teddy bear ended up with a revolver and went around blowing holes in the undead towards the end of the game.

I also met someone I haven't seen for 7-8 years. Although given I probably only talked to them for all of 5 minutes back then, I think I can be forgiven for not recognising them straight away (Or for a good few hours).

Oh, and the best part of the weekend was that people liked my cooking (I made cookies). Go me.
...Well, okay, not the best part, but the best I'm telling you lot about.

Well I couldn't have liked it more!

<sup>1. Phrase used when playing N*tropy, 'Kong My Whopper': Originally a random phrase used by mrhig to distract other players, and now the unnoficial name of the game.
2. 'Grab My Totem': The unofficial name of 'Jungle Fever', due to having to, well, grab the totem a lot.

P.S. Thanks to frax and cardinalsin's christmas present, I am now cooking things. Specifically, right now, cookies. They smell great, I'm wondering how well they'll smell after I incinerate them...

Gah, I missed Doctor Who! Was having too much fun playing games with my family.
Damn that family o' mine. ;P

Oh well, I'll just have to catch it new years day. Or on DVD.

(For those keeping score, Shadows Over Camelot? We lost. Mainly due to losing a lot of important quests early on while everyone was still getting the hang of the game. Dad was making a valiant charge in the tournament against the black knight, while the rest of us held off the encroaching siege engines, but a surprise attack from the picts finished us off.)

Rather than the gratuitous ego-masturbation of most memes, this one works the other way around - you reply to this post, and I'll tell you one (or maybe even several) of the reasons I like/love/adore you. These things are fun...

Spent most of the weekend at rougeforever and mrhig's wedding reception. The actual event itself was a mere 9 hours long, but the rest of my time was taken up with travelling to and from, and not getting enough sleep in the cheap hotel room I'd booked.

I had a great time for the seven hours before I got all moody and started ignoring people and looking morose...

I was, however, greatly insulted by our hostess.
I had been seated on the table near the projector (and as such will forever have images of New York statues with papier mache shoes on burned into my retina) and when Liz came to switch it off towards the end of the evening, she couldn't work out how to, and while standing directly behind me said 'I can't do this, I need to go and find a geek' and walked off into the other room.
I can only assume she had a momentary blind spot to my presence, but I will be bringing this up at any point emotional blackmail becomes neccesary.

Chinchilla sure are nocturnal!

Hmm, my mood seems to have lifted somewhat since leaving work. I was actually cheerful on the walk home (And I made it back in half the time, as I didn't seem to need to step in the right places so much. Is that obsessive, or compulsive? I can never remember.)
Thanks are likely due to Ex, for a right kicking (via email) when I needed it.

I think the bad mood's still there, underneath, but it's not in charge any more. Which will be nice for a bit.

So, I think elle_ may be right, and I should get out there and do things.
Only question now is, what things?

Current thoughts include learning: Sign, Martial Arts, Piano (again) or Singing.

Any other suggestions?
